Having posted herself tweets about cookery and living la deaf dolce-vita ((Which apparently includes cupcakes a vital interest for deaf people !), she went on to extol the virtues of talking utter inanity on twitter sites as 'deaf power' in action. It isn't even networking in campaigning terms ,it is the community socialising NOT campaigning, since not a single advance has come from UK tweeters in deaf terms to any success nor can be quoted. Networking is an over-used term which basically in twidiot terms just means more deaf are using this medium to socialise.Deaf charities use twitter too and so do many other HI areas, but any perusal sees networking an actual myth as it isn't encouraging viable feedback nor, is encouraging campaigns to take off. various postings for official and non-official 'petitions' abound all over, again, NONE are valid, as they majority of e-posters (It must take an lot of efforrt from them to post an e-mail by the looks of it), are from outside the UK not within it, and is pointless on two fronts, (!) It has to UK signers, and (2) Has to exceed 100,000 signatures or you are wasting cyber space as no-one is going to act on, let alone read them in the UK.
Most are celebrity chasing which makes them look all the more a/pathetic... In the blog stated respect, this is from a person who is an major contributor to an deaf magazine and should know better, no wonder I got the hell out of that poor and pointless set up years ago. But the flow of dis-information is debilitating deaf advances,and, distorting fact, in essence it is GUILT, these twidiots are attempting to justify the wholesale trvias they post to make it look like a campaigning community, when nothing has happened since 2005....
To block even a valid response to her blog shows we are still back in the deaf dark ages where your 'face has to fit' so much for social media braking down barriers ! In fact more abuse of deaf comes from it.
